This website won the 2015 PRSA Silver Anvil award for Internal Communications Campaign of the Year in the nonprofit category. It was an incredible project to work on, as within days of the unrest in Ferguson, MO, the university had approved an internal initiative that would open a dialogue about race and violence between members the university community. Users were encouraged to interact by commenting on professor’s articles, by engaging on social media with #WashUVoices and by joining in events and conversations on campus and in the region.
Because all of the design modules had been created beforehand within the new university-branded theme, a small team and I were able to create the site within a single working day. The site was made live within three. This site has received immense positive feedback from the university and from our peers at other universities and agencies.
